Boyd Anderson senior Lucy Louis is a student in the rigorous IB program and an aspiring criminal investigator.
“I have this dream to help people,” Lucy told me recently. “I want to find justice for people who can’t find it for themselves.”
When it comes to drawing inspiration, Lucy views herself as her own personal muse.
“I see myself as creative and caring,” she said. Creativity and compassion are definitely two attributes she possesses, and from my experience being around her for 4 years, those are her greatest strengths as well.
In her spare time, Lucy likes to read about mythology and African-American history. “I think it’s important to learn about your roots,” she said.
Lucy enjoys watching Disney shows, Law & Order, Criminal Minds and Supernatural.
On her way to becoming a criminal investigator, Lucy plans on getting an internship, taking classes and working up the proverbial ladder.
Lucy balances school and work effectively by having a clear sense of what her priorities are in any given moment.
When I asked what she likes the most about herself, she responded with a few qualities.
“I like that I can speak my mind,” Lucy said. “I’m stubborn, and I also like the fact that I’m not a quitter.
What Lucy values more than anything however, are the friends and family around her. They mean a lot to her and bring out her nurturing personality.
I want to say thanks to my good friend and colleague, Lucy, for giving me the opportunity to learn more about her, and for allowing me to write this feature on her. I wish her the best of luck in all of her future endeavors and I hope she revels in her very imminent and hard-earned success. Once again, Thank You Lucy!
